The Northwood boys swim team re-asserted their status today as contenders in the Pacific Coast League bringing a fierce front to the pool, and swept the leader board nearly doubling their opposition's points.  The Timberwolves showed their aquatic prowess dominating by 111 points against the Woodbridge Warriors 59 points at the Woodbridge High School Aquatic Center on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

All team members seemed to play their parts in Northwood's boys win over Woodbridge.  Performing well as a team, with everyone stepping up and contributing.  The dual meet triumphs were further solidified by the fact that first-place Northwood swimmers were usually followed closely by yet another Timberwolf.  The Timberwolves topped (6) six individual and (2) two relay titles, but also produced (22) twenty-two top-3 places contributing to the mass of points that was truly extraordinary.

All things considered, the Lady T-Wolves were up against an arsenal of Woodbridge talent, but still turned in a solid performance losing 65 - 105.

“We stayed aggressive in our races from start to finish today achieving a high level of consistency," said Head Coach Alex Nieto.  "I'm also seeing more improvements beginning to show from our team in the last few meets, so as a team that's extremely positive."

The stakes will only grow from here for the Northwood Timberwolves, as it takes on the tough challenge that the Pacific Coast League rivals will bring in the coming weeks.  Next stop, the Timberwolves will be "Defending the Den" at home against the Portola High School Bulldogs on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 3:15 p.m. (Senior Recognition).
