Christopher Leung a sophomore at Northwood High School who participated in the 100 breast SC event (55.72), swam on May 27th at the 2021 CIF Southern Section D1 Swimming Championships, and achieved 5th place garnering this week's "Swim of the Week". In addition, Christopher was also Northwood's top points earner on the boys' side at the championship venue.

The "Swim of the Week" 100 breast 55.72 not only achieved 5th place among 36 high schools in the D1 Division, but became the third-fastest in the Pacific Coast League, and fastest 100 breast for Northwood's 2021 swim season. His personal best time of 55.72 in this event also is a qualifying time for the 2021 Summer Junior Olympics.
Leung was recently appointed to be a Northwood team captain for the upcoming 2022 swim season. To Christopher, this is an outstanding achievement as he was voted in by fellow team members.
Christopher's team profile is one of the appealing ones that describe his achievements. He explains that swimming has helped him grow in high school in and out of the pool as it has taught him life skills like time management and determination.
